Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday, a positive mental posture and a healing idea.

Giving thanks for what we have on this day, or on any other day, is a beautiful idea - especially since the USA now has all the land it needs. A national holiday for the purpose of reuniting with family is a great notion.

When the first celebration of thanks took place, the native Americans who were celebrated for helping non-natives survive had no idea that in years to come they would be slaughtered, starved to death, lied to after agreeing to treaties, and robbed of their land by an imperialistic government of invaders. They should not be forgotten.
