To explain a Japanese Proverb in Spanish.

To explain a Japanese Proverb in Spanish.

I have a favorite Japanese proverb that I have picked up over the years (and I still don't know its roots). But I would like to correctly translate it into Spanish, keeping the proverb intact. I have yet to be successful in this and need your help.

How I present it - True is the Japanese Proverb: There is no cure for stupidity.

This is what I came up with - Es verdad sobre el proverbio japonés: Hay no cura por stupidez.

Or would I use: imbecilidad?

Thank you in advance.

I've heard it often but always as "la estupidez no tiene remedio" or the similar "ignorancia no tiene remedio".
