What sounds do animals make?

Recently, I've been interested in onomatopoeia (words that are sounds, like whoosh and vroom). An interesting feature is that different languages have different sounds for the same phenomena. For example, the rain makes the "pitter patter" sound in English but the sound "Rim jim" in Hindi.

A peculiar type of onomatopoeia is the sounds animals make. Can someone share any interesting sounds that are expressed in Spanish differently than in English (for example, do pigs make the "oink oink" sound? Do cats say "meow"?

Haha, great question!

Sheeps: "Meeeeee (or Beeeeeeee)"

Cows: "Muuuu"

Rooster: "quiquiriquí"

Ducks: "Cuak cuak cuak"

Generic birds: "Pio pio pio"

Pigs: "Oink oink" (the same!)

Turkeys: (this one is hard!) "Gugluglu"

Wolves: "Auuuuuuuuuu"

In Spanish, I know cats say "Miau, miau", and dogs say "guau, guau". This is a great question; I'm excited to hear the answers others come up with.
