How do you say "donated" in spanish? (As an adjective, not a verb!)

As stated in the question, how would I describe something (books) as donated?

I want to say "donated books."

I know (from the dictionary) that "donar" is probably the verb I should use as the root, but the only related result I could find was "donante", which means "donor."

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As a general rule, in order to use verbs as adjectives in Spanish, you just use the past participle and then make sure the gender and number agree.

For example:

Confused student = estudiante confundido (from confundir - that's definitely me sometimes!)

Dear (female) friends = Amigas queridas (from querer)

Donated books = libros donados

Hope this helps!

Yep I've seen him on the forum, knew he was from Melbourne, but we haven't actually spoken. - UrictheOddball, Nov 22, 2012
