Me cedió generosamente la mitad de un armario de dos cuerpos y me permitió apropiarme de una butaquita, un par de sillas y una lámpara de pie.

Here is my noble effort, a native may possibly burst out laughing.:

Not without anger on my part,because his arrangements messed up a careful distribution of property- it ended with the transfer of my bed ( not his, I note) from the shared bedroom to a shady/ dark/ miserable back-room. He genererously let me have half a warderobe, in two bits, and allowed me to apropriate a little stool (?) , a couple of chairs and a lamp on a stand.
