Hello. I would recommend you to listen and speak as much Spanish as you can. If you can't do it in person, try doing it online. There are some users that have given their skype adresses.

You can try also this thread: http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/239237/how-good-is-your-pronunciation-try-this-audio-exercise

Why in the world would you want her to stop. She sounds like a great learning resource. Take advantage of it. Start asking her questions so that it is more of a two-way learning process. You are lucky,

I just tried Verbling yesterday afternoon and loved it. I wrote a long post talking about how great it is. It is NOT a way to learn Spanish; for learning I think nothing can beat SpanishDict.com (and reading Spanish books with a Kindle, and flashcards)... but it is excellent for practicing your speaking and listening skills.

I wasn´t ready to begin speaking Spanish when I first began. I knew my pronunciation was poor and I could never get the trilling R sound. So I spent more time and effort building my vocabulary of words. You are very lucky to have a native to help you. I hope you will embrace her help.

Now, I want to learn the pronunciation. I see things about how to pronounce the vowels and consonants and I work with those. This link is now making sense to me. I hope to work with the diphthongs as I keep progressing and I´ve found Kiwi´s audio projects to be wonderful exercises and I enjoy hearing the members from all over the world.

Perspective is everything. Perhaps you can ask your amiga to help you learn a word or a phrase a day rather than tease with you. Ask her to practice it with you several times in the day. If she's really a friend and you ask in a sincere way, she may be your best ally in learning to be more fluent. I assume she speaks fluent Spanish. Ask your friend to record the phrase on vocaroo.com, send you the link, and listen to it over and over.

If not, then Comunacho's advice is great. There are so many resources from easy to complicated on websites these days. Vocaroo.com can help you hear yourself.
