Definition of "Perdóname"

Question

Mientras escuchando un video vi que dos ortografía de "pardon me" - Perdóneme y perdóname. Mi pregunta es por què la diferencia porque la traducción de ambos palabras is la misma.

one is formal Spanish the other informal , but wait for a native speaker .

Perdóname (tú) informal you. Used when addressing friends, peers, family.

Perdóneme (usted) formal you. Used when addressing someone older than you, a person of authority, someone you don't know well.
