Tuyo or Tuya
Why in Estrella Morente's cover of "Volver" does she say
"Tuya es su vida"
"Tuyo es su querer"
I know it means "his life is yours" " His wants are yours"
but why the two different forms of tuyo? If a female is singing the song it makes sense that "yours" would both be feminine.

Songs are not invariably grammatical.
Invert the two sentences to a non-rhythmic form and you get:
"Su vida es tuya" = "his life is yours" "Su querer es tuyo" = "his wish(es) is/are your (life understood but not spoken")
I hope this a) helps and b) is correct.
When "tuyo/tuya" refers to a noun (in this case "querer") it takes the masculine form.

Good question.
It's not about the speaker; it's about the noun that "tuyo/tuya" is modifying.
La casa es tuya. (casa is feminine)
El libro es tuyo. (libro is masculine)
