Lavavajillas = dishwasher (device) vs. Lavaplatos = dishwasher (person).
You can also say friegaplatos/fregaplatos (person).
Like SandyMx said: "Se solicita lavaplatos o friegaplatos o fregaplatos.
Friegaplatos is correct but fregaplatos (wrong spelling) has been adopted in regular speech.
