Como se traduce este frase?
Necesito dinero por el fin de semana? O quizá "para cuando el fin de semana"?
Quiero saber el sentido de la palabra "by". Por ejemplo, "by the weekend".

"Por" in this context would mean "for" or "during". "Necesito dinero por el fin de semana" means "I need money for (meaning to use during) the weekend."
