Retell the sequence of events by writing each of the following sentences using indirect and direct object pronouns to avoid repetition. (However, be sure to write the name of each subject to avoid confusion.)

Modelo: Pablo no les compra regalos a sus amigos Pablo no se los compra

my questions: 1) Paco le compró unas entradas a Pablo 2) Paco le dijo a Pablo la sorpresa. 3) Pablo no quiso aceptar las entradas 4) Pablo le pagó las entradas a Paco 5) Pablo nos dio las entradas a nosotros 6) Pablo nos trajo las entradas a la casa..

I've tried to answer all of these and they're all wrong... please help! thanks in advance.

ok I was able to answer the others correctly accept this one

3) Pablo no quiso aceptar las entradas

is it Pablo no quiso la aceptar?

the trick is to look at the thing - in this case it's 'las' entradas so your direct object has to match. If it's 'las' entradas you can't use 'la' / it - it would have to be 'them'. Any ideas? - Kiwi-Girl, Nov 5, 2012

When you have a direct object pronoun and an indirect object pronoun in one sentence the 'person' usually goes first.

So you need to change the sentence to say:

The person doing the action (the subject) + 'to the person' (him, her, us etc) + 'the thing(s)' (it, them etc) + verb

eg Paco le compró unas entradas a Pablo.

The person doing that action (the subject) - in this case 'Pablo'

+

to the person - in this case Pablo = le, Pablo le

+

the thing(s) - in this case 'unas entradas' = las ie; Pablo le las (le has to change to se) Pablo se las

+

verb = compró, ie.

Complete sentence: Pablo se las compró.
