"Queremos" or "Querríamos"

"Queremos" or "Querríamos"

What is the difference, if any, between these two sentences?

"Queremos un poco de café"

"Querríamos un poco de café"

Which one would I use in a restaurant if I were ordering for my wife and myself?

Thanks.

To order, the first one.

The first sentence implies that you know for a fact that they serve coffee there.

The second one would have to be preceded by a main clause, in subjunctive:

Si hubiese, querríamos un poco de café, but it sounds awkward.

But by itself, it's just incomplete.
