Fantasma (ghost) is a masculine and the article "un" would normally be used with it. Is fantasma ever feminine such as when there is a ghost of a woman? If you are wondering why I would ask such a question, I am writing something about the movie Volver.

According to the RAE's dictionary the word "fantasma" is always masculine. But, be careful
- Una ciudad fantasma
- Una venta fantasma

I think they are always male. El fantasma de una mujer.
Volver is a great film, I really like it.
