Guest judge and other words

Hi all,

I have to describe something for a story / presentation for my class that is well above my level and which the translators seem to do too literally.

I could help use the following terms

1) Serve as a guest judge Servir como un juez invitado? 2) People's choice award I have no darn idea. 3) Miss USA contest Concurso de Miss-USA? O Miss-EE.UU.?

Any help appreciated.

Muchísimas gracias.

Your first is good but "un" is not necessary.

I too have no idea what a "peoples choice award" is, but as literal translation it would be "premio de elección del pueblo."

The last: "Concurso de belleza Miss USA" (spoken in USA) and "..... Miss EE.UU." (spoken in a Spanish speaking country).

Well done Rog, aiming above your level is the only way you'll actually get there.

Another thread re: 'the people's choice award'.
