Good morning!

The verb "saber" is used to know facts and other things, for example:

  • ¿Sabes nadar? Do you know how to swim?

  • Sé la diferencia entre oro y plata. I know the difference between gold and silver.

The verb "conocer" is used to express that we know a person or are familiar with a place, for example:

  • Conozco a Maria. I know Maria.

  • ¿Conoces el hermano de Maria? Do you know Maria's brother?

  • Conoce bien la ciudad. He knows the city well.
