La Palabra del Día: "otro"

Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Have fun experimenting with Spanish.

2. ¿Compraste la casa grande o la otra un poco más pequeña?

Otro u otra significan other and another. Nunca decimos un otro o una otra en español. Y recuerda que cuando la palabra que sigue a la conjunción "o" comienza también por "o", debemos cambiar dicha conjunción a "u". Ej. Una u otra, nunca ambas.
Otro or otra mean other and another in Spanish. We never say un otro or una otra. And remember, when the word after the conjunction "o" starts with an "o", then "o" becomes "u" in Spanish. Ex: One or the other, never both.
