The English Word of the Day: Yesterday

Yesterday

Ayer

Cordobesa is the official corrector of the Spanish sentences and since there are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. Please correct your posts according to Cordobesa's suggestions.

  • ¡Usa tus propias palabras!

If it were only yesterday, Friday would be one day further away.

There was so much traffic yesterday that my drive home took twice as long.

Yesterday, I went to the chiropractor because my back was very stiff and painful. After several manipulations, I felt better.

Yesterday I watched one movie, a romantic comedy called "How to lose a guy in ten days". I watched it in Spanish. I have to watch it again to understand Spanish well. : ))

If you could go back to yesterday, would you do it?

If the word of the day today is "yesterday", what was the word yesterday? And if the word of the day yesterday was "today", where are we?

For me today is Friday, but you are all living in yesterday ,

And will be for a while.

Figuratively speaking of course .

Yesterday, speaking to my friend in Spain, I learned about the "mileuristas" --- people trying to survive on a thousand euros a month.
