Isabel The Catholic: Practice with TV series

For anybody looking to improve there listening skills, I would recommend the series Isabel on rtve.es http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/isabel/

Isabel - Rtve

It is the story of Isabel The Catholic and there have been 7 episodes so far. Some of the language is dated but this does not matter for me. Its a brilliant series in my opinion.

I am only begining to develop my listening skills so I can only get about 50-75% of the dialogue first time, but a second viewing helps me.

Su historia es fascinante. Gracias a Isabel la Católica Colón realizó el Descubrimiento de América, aunque algunos críticos insisten que fue la peor desgracia para el continente.

Creo que para la época, fue una mujer de mucha visión y se tomó riesgos importantes que contribuyeron a expandir el poder de España.
