¿Grupo o agrupación? ¿Cuándo se deben usar?

Tengo curiosidad por saber en cuales situaciones se debe utilizar la palabra "agrupación" en vez de "grupo." ¿Hay una diferencia? ¿Son iguales? Gracias a todos.

Grupo refers to people gathering in any type of setting. Grupo can also be things piled up or animals gathered together.
Agrupación can be a formal society or a musical, activist or neighborhood association. All agrupaciones are grupos. Not necessarily all the way around.
