This can vary among countries, but usually we all understand.

Entrada ........ ticket (in Mexico "boleto")

Boleta ......... pass

Pasaje ticket or money paid for passage on transportation, ship, airplane, etc.

Billete ....... ticket (in Mexico, bill or note such as "100 peso note")

We travel a lot in the Americas and these are regional in meaning but Julian's post is spot on. Just watch the regional differences as he said. Different countries use these for different things.

In Colombia:

entrada-ticket,boleta-ticket,pasaje-fare y billete-banknote/bill

In Guatemala....

Entrada = for the movie theater or other show

Boleto = for airplane tickets

Pasaje = for a boat or other transportation

Billete = for a money note ($100 bill)
