A question on the plural forms of "Café" and "Suéter"

Question

I've been going through lessons. It's information I know, but I don't want to miss anything, so I've been looking at them pretty close. Anyway, I've noticed two things.

1. "Suéter" is made plural as "suéters". I learned it as "suéteres", but that doesn't mean it's the only correct answer, as I'm quickly learning on this site.

2. "Café" is made plural as "cafes", instead of "cafés". I know it as "cafés"

My question is, would the alternative plural spellings be correct to anyone out there? Thanks!

..Mariana..Cuando dije que ambas son correctas, me refería a el modo en que rheit lo aprendió y que ella no estaba muy segura de que fuera correcto. (Suéteres y cafés) Claro, no me expliqué bien. Debí poner: Si, ambas son correctas como tu las conoces. Aunque sueter es una espanglish word como rheit lo dice, ya pasó al vocablo castellano(México) hace mucho tiempo y allá al sueter le puedes decir abrigo tambien, ya que lo es. Y gracias por tu comentario y casi regañada ja-ja- o ha-ha? Saludos.

To make café plural, it has to be cafés to follow stress rules. Without the tilde over é, the pronunciation would have to be cáfe(s).

Suéter is not a Spanish word, so you will probably see it written both ways and as long as the the tilde appears on the first é, I´m sure RAE will be content.
