Listening links - sin video!

Question

Hi, I have looked through old threads and there are many good links for listening but nearly all of them involve video. This is not an option for me as it can take half a day to download 5 minutes of video. I am also tight and poor which means I would like free material. There is some available through Librivox which is a great open source for audiobooks in general but something more like ´News in Slow Spanish´ which unfortunately is not gratis nor does it operate on my computer. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, Hamish

There are a few different links here that you might find useful. They're all free!

Spanish Language Resources

Thanks Kiwi-girl, I have looked at this site before and the audio books for kids is particularly good but again so many of the links that say "llistening" actuallly involve video links! - hinall01, Oct 12, 2012

I'll let you know if I find any more purely listening ones :) - Kiwi-Girl, Oct 12, 2012

I thought that podcasts like News in Slow Spanish were free? Have you looked on iTunes? Lots of free podcasts without video.

Good luck and hope to see you around the forum!

Yes, I think you are right, Mariana, the News in Slow Spanish podcasts were free...trying to verify that now...even though the iPod se murió! - hinall01, Oct 13, 2012

Tienes razón! There are free podcasts available for NiSS and NIS (notes in spanish) if you have iTunes. Thanks for the warm welcome too, Mariana! - hinall01, Oct 13, 2012

I really enjoy www.radiolingua.com and www.notesinspanish.com

Neither of these podcasts include videos.

Thanks, Grace - both very good sites. I miss listening to the couple from notesinspanish since my iPod died! - hinall01, Oct 13, 2012
