Mover is like move in English but remover is the following.
remover (conjugate?) verbo transitivo
‹líquido/salsa› to stir;
‹ensalada› to toss;
‹tierra/piedras› to turn over;
‹escombros› to dig about in;
‹brasas› to poke, stir
‹asunto› to bring … up again;
‹recuerdo/pasado› to revive, stir up
?(frml) ‹impedimento/obstáculo› to remove
(esp AmL) (destituir) ~ a algn de algo to remove sb from sth
removerse verbo pronominal
to shift, shift around

It is the same as in the English "move" and "remove".

Maybe remover isn't exactly like remove Noetol, it has lots of other meanings and 'to stir' is maybe one of the most common ones :) - Kiwi-Girl, Oct 12, 2012
