"Tamiz" "Sieve"

"Tamiz" "Sieve"

I was at the doctor's office yesterday with my nieta and saw a pamplet entitled..Tamiz Neonatal". I had no idea what tamiz meant so when I got home I looked it up. It is a noun meaning sieve. But there was an axample of a prueba de tamiz.

So I am wondering if this could be used as a way to say something like I screen my calls.

Paso mis llamadas de un tamiz.

What do you think? Does this work?

Hmmm - well, since the word "Neonatal" is mentioned, I would guess that "tamiz neonatal" would have something to do with a baby scan, perhaps? (ie: screening = scan)

It's only a guess and it might be totally wrong, but it sounds fairly likely to me.

Neo- natal screening: bloodtests and possibly other tests to pick up diseases and disorders of the newly born inorder that they may be treated promptly.

Controlar , deshabilitar , desactivar las llamadas??

That's all that spring to my tired mind, I stand to be desactivated and blocked out.
