Using the word "acaso"
Hi, I don't understand how to use "acaso." Like what exactly it means.
I've read through the definition on this website and I'm still confused. I don't know how to explain it to myself clearly so I can use it.
Does anyone have any tips?

It also means "perhaps" and "maybe". Thus it is a very useful would to express doubt or contingency.
Also "al acaso" is "by chance or accident".

From this example and a few in the definition on this site, I feel like it has a distinct meaning that can't really be put into words.
The confusion is the structure of the English translation. Gringo´s suggestion is perfect for it here but to make sense in English, it would have to read "Perhaps that wasn´t the point of talking yesterday?"
Yes Anna, its a helpful and easy to use word. Think of the English "in case" and then use"acaso" the same in spanish. "Por si acaso" is my favorite, "just in case". Acaso me crees un tonto" "In case (or perhaps) you think im a fool". It becomes natural quickly because its so similiar to english once you get used to it. Que tengas suerte!
That part is easy, but I think there's much more to it. For example: A friend of mine who's a native speaker translated this sentence:
