No, it's easier and more fun. Plus, you'll have millions of new people to talk to after you learn Spanish.
Oui! C'est plus dificile!
To me, Spanish is much easier. Plus more people speak Spanish than French. That's not to say that Spanish is at all "easy"; I think if you are a non-native speaker and can manage competence in another language that is a great accomplishment and you should never sell yourself short. But if you are trying to decide which to learn, I would say try Spanish first; it can help you somewhat with French, as well, if you want to learn both, but is more useful in general if you only learn one. But that might just be my bias speaking haha!

No it is not, unless you already speak French of course.
I would have to agree with Annie. French was much easier for me to understand. However, I am Canadian so every label in the grocery store has both English and French on it. The French classes from Grade 1-9 may have had something to do with it as well haha. I will admit that it seems like Spanish has fewer distinctive sounds than French does.
In my opinion, Spanish is easier as French is very hard to learn and pronounce.
The only languages I have attempted to learn (other than English) have been German, French, and Spanish. My only reasonable level of sucess has been in Spanish, so for me, I would say Spanish is easier.
Having looked closely at the way French is pronounced, I'd say that Spanish is definitely easier - that's just a personal opinion, though.
