Ayudar con 'Duende'
The translator on this website says 'duende' means imp/fairy/gobling. My own dictionary says the same thing.
Im listening to this song called 'Duende' by Ana Torroja y Miguel Bose. in the hook it says; "Si es duende, que será? Vivirán en anónimo deseo?"
from that i get; if its fairy, what to be? We live in an anonymous desire?
I know thats not right...somebody help me understand please?

Translation:
If he's an elf, who or what is it? (This is not clear by context)
Will he live in anonymous desire?
If he's an angel, he will sing
Perhaps because he fell from the sky?
In this context I would say that "duende" has nothing to do with a fairy/goblin etc. Duende is an abstract and undefinable concept similar to "soul" used to describe music, literature, art, etc. It is a very hard concept to explain. It is like when you hear a great musician play a song you have heard a million times. Although the notes are the same, the feel that the listener gets from their style is one of a kind.
what does the elf stand for in the song? i just dont get that
