required third person indirect pronouns

I heard an internet class by a couple named Gordan and Cynthia who give Spanish lesssons. They say that there are 15-20 verbs that require the third person indirect pronouns "le" and "les." Examples are decir, dar, and preguntar. Where can I find a list of the others. I can say: Vi a Juan. But I have to say: Le dije a Juan la verdad.

You say "Vi a Juan" because Juan is the direct object.

Then again, we say "Le dije a Juan la verdad." because Juan is the indirect object. La verdad is the direct object.

Think of it this way:

Le dije a Juan la verdad (bold representing D/O, italisized representing the I/O)

I told the truth to John. What did you tell?= the truth. To whom did you tell it= to John

They require an Indirect pronoun because the verbs will always be accompanied by both a direct an indirect object.
