Question

anyone - any one

Algunas palabras en inglés pueden crear confusión para los principiantes.

Some words in English can be confusing for learners.

This one is to practice the following words: anyone - any one

Both native Spanish and English speakers may answer - but write both Spanish and English sentences.

I would appreciate some help in checking the Spanish sentences.

Agradecería una cierta ayuda en la comprobación de las oraciones españolas.

I will "accept" the best effort after about a week

Every attempt will get a vote.

NOTE - we would normally need 2 sentences, one in each language for each use of these words, .

I wonder how many meanings / uses we can find.

Futher explanation as to the different meanings / uses may be given.

Please do not suggest new words - but pictures are welcome.

Anyone: anybody, any person
Example: Anyone can learn to cook but few can learn to cook well.

Any one: any single member of a group of people or things
Example: Can any one of you tell me the answer to my question?

Mi intento:
Cualquiera puede aprender a jugar al tenis pero no todos pueden cualquier persona puede aprender a jugar al tenis bien.

My attempt:
Anyone can learn to play tennis but not any one person everyone can learn to play tennis well.

I'm having a problem with your English sentence, Bandita. I think I'd say, "Anyone....but not everyone can ...play well." - --Mariana--, Oct 7, 2012

Therefore, in Spanish, "Cualquiera....pero no todos pueden aprender..." - --Mariana--, Oct 7, 2012
