How sexy does Spanish sound?

Personally, I think everything sounds sexier when in Spanish, particularly if it's a song. What do you all think? Also, Spanish is often billed as one of the world's sexiest languages (as someone who speaks both English and German, I'm inclined to agree!). Does anyone else agree? And if not, which languages do you find sexy?

Everything sounds sexy to me if spoken with a smile and I don't understand it.

We have an ad on TV here where a girl just says "hola" it is enough to make any guy weak kneed.

I guess you have seen it. ha ha

No, for me Italian is the most sexy sounding language because it doesn't have the jota sound. German has asch laut an ich laut, but well then ,the Germans themselves are very serious anyway when they open their mouth, less sexy than ever. . Definitly, Scandinavian women are the most sexy in the known world and speak in attractive tongues, if small. Usually its the woman who has to learn the language of her partner, that's how life works..Scandinavian women learn well, as do those from Russia. Bit what maters, in the end, is what the man actually says, not the language he says it in..

Thanks, rac, I'm just a bit worried , in case we have many Germans here. They are probably very charming really. - annierats, Oct 5, 2012
Italian sounds best to me too Annie. I am also intrigued by the sound of Russian. - ian-hill, Oct 5, 2012
I lived in Italy for two years and it's close: but no cigar :) - island_fever, Oct 6, 2012

On a scale of 1 to 100, I'd place it at off the charts because it surpasses 100.

Give me Spanish any time; especially from Mexico or the Carribean (almost anywhere on this side of the pond). And, of course, the U.S. (Hooray for the Southwest Chicago and Detroit). I hope I didn't leave anyone out. If I did, (all of you western states? forgive me.) It's a personal bias. I think that it's just that I've spent most of my life in this part of the world. I have actually visited Spain (decades ago) and it is a wonderful country without a doubt.

And then, oddly enough, I find English spoken by Britains, Australians and New Zealanders next in line. I had a casual conversation with a guy from New Zealand once and when we parted company, I wanted to say "Please don't go. Just keep talking!".

Ian...George Harrison did it for me...I remember coming back from Oktoberfest in Munich where we met some Brits and continued to celebrate on the train. The Star Spangle Banner and God Save the Queen were beyond our capabilities. - island_fever, Oct 6, 2012
So we, Americans, all learned and sang Rule Brittania all the way to Italy. Ah! What fun and comeraderie! - island_fever, Oct 6, 2012

I believe Spanish as well as French are both classified as "romantic" languages.

French just doesn't do it for me; it's too nasal. But, I have allergies and sinus problems.. - island_fever, Oct 6, 2012
I also lived in Belguim for 2 years (not the Flemish speaking part), and it didn't ring my bell. Lovely people and lovely country thought! - island_fever, Oct 6, 2012
