Driveway, the proper way
I am new here. I have a Mexican husband who knows Spanish well so I try to practice on him. One word he does not agree with but doesn't know the proper word for is drive way. Here on Spanishdict, it is de entrada, but is there a more proper word?

You can also say: "Sendero de la entrada" or "Sendero de entrada". La entrada by itself is vague, but I realize not all homes in Latin America or Spain may have a driveway.
Hi and welcome to the forum!
In Guatemala we say "La entrada."
Truthfully, I crossed checked a couple of sources, Merriam-Webster dictionary being the most notably reliable, "la entrada" seems to be the most proper and recognized word for "the driveway" where cars enter. If the context was tricky and there was room to misunderstand, you could specify "la entrada para vehículos". Hope that helps!
Now what would you call this , it is neither a garage nor a carport ,
it is a classical "Queenslander"where the car and laundry are
underneath , along with the snakes spiders and cane toads.
