How to say 'I like you' without expressing attraction?

I've read that 'me gustas' or 'me caes bien' do express physical or emotional attraction. Te amo and te quiero also feel like more than I want to say (which is 'I like you as a friend').

What choices remain?

Me pareces bien?

Great question!

I've read that 'me gustas' ......do express physical or emotional attraction.

Yes, that's usually correct in general conversation.

No, it simply means that you get along well with someone. "I like that guy/gal."

Te amo and te quiero also feel like more than I want to say (which is 'I like you as a friend').

Not at all. "Te amo" is generally used for the romantic type of love. "Te quiero" is more common for a couple to express their feelings on a daily basis. "Have a good day at work....love you."

Sure, "Te quiero" can mean "I want you" depending on the heat of the conversation and how heavy you are breathing, but we also use "Te quiero mucho, Mamá" to express our love for family members and friends.

Me caes bien does not express love affection. Oher variants include:

Me caes simpático/simpática

La paso bien contigo
