Rude Hand Gestures. No Sneezing?

Here's an interesting article I just came across while browsing the worldwide web. A few of the customs refer to Spanish speaking areas of the world. I thought it might be of some interest to travellers.

My question is how do you avoid sneezing at the table while in Venezuela or Ecuador?

Pinch your nose just at the bridge, sometimes this is enough to stop you from sneezing. Other times this will allow you to suppress or minimize your sneeze

Oh, I can get it now. I don't know if you changed something, or my brain wasn't working. - rheit, Oct 3, 2012
It is interesting. I guess you have to clamp you mouth shut while simultaneously squeezing your nose shut. Do you suppose that might be better? - rheit, Oct 3, 2012
