Confidence Builder for listening and understanding Spanish
Background: I couldn't sleep, went to youtube to hang out and thought about basic speech and listening for comprehension in Spanish. So, I went looking for Plaza Sésamo.
Here's a link for "Elmo va a baño". Elmo gets potty trained in this one. If you have young children at home, this is a bonus! Kids love this stuff. Here's the link - Elmo va al Baño I hope I did the link right. In any event, when you hear a character say something like "Tengo que ir al baño" and you understand it, it gives you the knowledge that you probably understand more than you think you do. I will apologize in advance if anyone is offended by this or thinks that it is too childish. It's just a method that I have used in the past found it helpful. Conversely, the English versions might be helpful to those learning English.

Absolutely not!
Watching kids' TV and reading books is really great way to learn. I think of this this way 1) that's the natural way kids learn a language from the very start, and 2) if the kids know a certain word, e.g., train, truck, etc., I sure want to know it too!
Thanks for sharing!
Nice one Island Fever - I like this one too Me Gusta Ser Yo it's good practice for the pronominal verb moverse.

Thanks again Island. I'm turning this on for my 1.5 year old niece at the moment. Another good one I found last night on Youtube is Baby Abuelita . It's a mix of English and Spanish but I have found it much more helpful than show's like Go Diego Go .
Thanks for the link(s)! Those videos are pretty fun (and funny). Just wondering -- what would you say is the comprehension level for these videos? I'd say above beginner, but not advanced. Would understanding most of what's being said be considered intermediate? It can be difficult to distinguish sometimes. Thanks again!
La que sigue, lo consigue
If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.
