I think the beginning is good. I will bold the changes I've made. The months are not capitalized, neither are the days nor the nationalities. But the countries are. After your age, the "edad" is not needed becasue it is implied in the phrase. But here how I would translate from "My favorite class is chemistry.........."
Mi clase favorita es la clase de química. Mi cumpleaños es el dieciohco de mayo. Tengo dieciséis años. Tengo una hermana menor. En mi tiempo libre, me gusta pasar el rato con mis amigos y mi familia. Usualmente, los fines de semana, yo trabajo.
Also, in some ways Spanish is similar to English, so when you make sentences, play it out in your head in English first. You did: Tengo hermana menor. Translation: I have younger sister.
