la semana pasada vs mañana pasada- Qué significa "pasada"?

Miraba a "Destinos" en el Internet. Un episodio usa "mañana pasada" para significar "the day after tomorrow". Pensaba que "pasada' es una palabra que significa "the past". ¿La semana pasada significa "last week", no?

This is correct.

"Mañana pasada" may possibly be regional, I have never heard it spoken this way. The usual way is "pasado mañana," which literally comes from "el día pasado mañana" ... "the day past (after) tomorrow."

I once said to my Spanish teacher at the end of the class "Hasta la semana pasada" which produced a lot of laughter as I was trying to say "see you the week after next" as the following week was a holiday but what I did say of course was "I will see you last week"
