Where is it? ¿Dónde está or ¿Dónde queda?

Hi can someone help explain ¿Dónde está or ¿Dónde queda? I think they both mean, where is it ? Correct? Or do they mean two different things? When is one used as opposed to the other ? Thanks

They do mean roughly the same thing. Note the difference, though...
¿Dónde está el baño? = "Where is the bathroom"
"¿Dónde queda el banco?" = "Where is the bank located?"

I've heard ¿Dónde queda? used with buildings and cities. But I think ¿Dónde está would work too in that case.
