Subjunctive -- translation of phrase

Subjunctive -- translation of phrase

¡Hola!

Me gustaría dicir "To deny that illegal drugs are dangerous is stupid". I already know how to do basic subjunctive (e.g. Es una lastíma que haya tantos jóvenes que fumen) but I'm unsure how to change the es/son. Here's what the machine translation gave me:

"para negar que las drogas ilegales son peligrosos es estúpido"

AFAIK the para is not needed (infinitive is in use anyway):

"negar que las drogas ilegales son peligrosos es estúpido/tonto"

Is this correct?

Es estúpido negar que las drogas ilegales son peligrosos.

Gets you out of the problem!

Pretty nice way of doing it, main problem would be that I'm marked for including subjunctive and other tenses etc in my piece. Thanks though - lol768, Sep 25, 2012
My answer works quite nicely though - lol768, Sep 25, 2012
I know, I think it actually works better with the conditional. Que negar.. sería estupido.. - annierats, Sep 25, 2012
