Find a word related to Mistake

Find a word related to Mistake

8

The idea is to find an English word (synonym –- antonym -- phrase or idiom ) related to the word mistake (noun, adjective or verb)

and then

write a simple sentence in English and Spanish for that word.( not M I S T A K E)

Example:

“To err is human; to forgive, divine.” Alexander Pope (1688-1744)

"Errar es humano, perdonar es divino".

Pictures would be nice.

Mariana has kindly agreed to be the “official” corrector of the Spanish.

I think I can manage being the “unofficial” corrector for the English, je je

This is the previous challenge

Hi, rac. You don't need a tilde in EL when you start a sentence. Only when you want to emphasize who is the doer or to make a reference about him. - nelson_rafael, Sep 28, 2012
eg. Él (emphasis) or El metió la pata en su valoración (juicio or evaluación) - nelson_rafael, Sep 28, 2012
Gracias Nelson! :) - rac1, Sep 28, 2012

Hi, mariana. It may be regional, but it's sounds more natural if you say: Siento no mandarte (haberte mandado) una invitación.... :) - nelson_rafael, Sep 28, 2012

No un error pero el voluble dedo del destino.

Not a mistake but the fickle finger of fate.

Yo pienso que Ian ha bajado un clanger. ¿Quizás una campana?

I think Ian has dropped a clanger. Perhaps a bell?

clanger (plural clangers)

(chiefly UK) A very noticeable mistake;

an attention-getting faux pas.

    He dropped a real clanger

when he criticized the paraplegic for not standing.
