Creating Formatted Posts

Question

I Found a Simple Tutorial

I have been having so much trouble formatting my posts. I finally thought to search "Markdown". Not knowing what it was, I was kind of skipping over it. In my quest, I found a lot of incomprehensible websites. I finally found one that makes sense, and I'm going to try to post it, using Markdown.

Yay! I think it's working!

The site I found is called Markdown, An Introduction.
Please let me know if the link doesn't work. It's my first attempt at using Markdown.

-I really needed this tutorial.

-Other SD members were kindly editing my posts.

-I think I can do it myself now, maybe...

I'm still working on making a simple paragraph break, but I figured out a block quote. I did have to follow up to the introduction with the Wikipedia link at the end of the page. I want to be a productive member of the blog. Not a burden!

@rheit -- I get spaces between lines by hitting the return button twice. Two lines of spacing display as one line on the posting - francobollo, Sep 22, 2012
