Anyone can set up a chat on Skype.

We used to do it a lot.

Yeah but it would be more fun and co-operative if we maintain a constant SpanishDict chat channel (group chat) on Skype. Creating channels are free on Skype and you join the conversation automatically the next time you login. Chat admin privileges can also be given to specific individuals (passed down from the channel creator) like for example: moderators. Everyone can see who else is online including moderators, if someone needs quick help.

I am not sure if this is being done already but moderators too can and should have a separate chat channel on Skype for coordinating moderation work between each other and to know who else is on moderation duty currently. Then again it depends on the amount and complexity of moderation work on SpanishDict.com

Here is a link to commands and roles associated with Skype chat channels.

Welcome back Corbin! The chat feature is temporarily down. I don't know exactly when it will be back, but I know they are working on it. Hopefully, it will be soon.

Welcome back. Yeah they disabled it on 23rd April, 2012. Check this link for info.

I think I have heard of a SpanishDict chat group on Skype but I am not sure who actually manages it.
