Hi and welcome to the forum!
You can look for a single word translation like this in the dictionary, which is located at the top of this screen. Beside each word you'll see whether it's feminine or masculine.
In this case, "programa" is an exception to the gender "rules" and takes the masculine article "el."
Other words of Greek origin ending in -ma are masculine, e.g., el poema, el poeta, el idioma, etc.
