Wondering about Spanish place values.

Question

I was wondering about place values in Spanish (primero, segundo, tercero, cuarto, etc). We never spent much time on them in class, so I only know them up to ten. I wanted to know if they followed any type of pattern after a certain value, like with the regular numbers. Or do you just use numbers after a certain point?

After tenth, ordinal numbers get tricky.

Onceavo or undécimo or decimoprimero. You may add the suffix "avo" the the cardinal number once to say eleventh or you can learn the other forms.

Doceavo or duodécimo or decimosegundo

Treceavo or decimotercero

Catorceavo or decimocuarto, etc.

I tell my friends to use the "avo" form because it conveys the same message and it's S O much easier.
