When did Spanishdict start?

I was wondering if anyone knew what year spanishdict started.

Yo me preguntaba lo que el año spanishdict comenzar.

SpanishDict started out of an idea my husband and I had back in 1999. The world wide web back then was not what it is today. We were looking for online dictionaries and found there was no audio for any we found so we decided to start one.

Fast forward to 2007 and Chris came on board and revamped the site, hired Paralee to do the lessons and other content. The forum was born and the lessons you still see today. Chris has been instrumental in the direction of the site and continues to come up with new and exciting things.

So Katydew, to answer your question: the founders are Martha-SD, Jeremy, Chris and Paralee.

We continue to grow the company and have an amazing staff and of course some wonderful loyal users like you. The site has seen an incredible amount of growth and we now serve over 500,000 users a day.

So I guess Curiosity Media Inc. is the holding company for SpanishDict or is it too owned by the founders of this website ? - RayJones26, Sep 19, 2012
