Uses of "Quedarse"

Question

When translating the verb "Quedarse" there are various possibilities in English. Can you think of some examples in Spanish and offer a translation in English? I will get us started:

Esta camisa me queda bien.

This shirt fits me well or looks good on me.

En España utilizamos la expresión "¿Te estás quedando conmigo?" como sinónimos de ser el objetivo de una broma pesada. Sería una expresión muy parecida a "Are you kidding me"?

In Spain we often use the expression "¿Te estás quedando conmigo?" as synonymous of being the subject of a joke. It would be very similar to the expression "Are you kidding me"?

Quedar in this case has a different meaning than quedarse. You mean to make an appointment, which would require quedar instead of quedarse. - francobollo, Sep 18, 2012
