Hola!

I'm trying to translate the phrase 'through the broken glass and morning light'. I gave it a shot, and translated it to

a traves del vidrios rotos y luz de mañana

I had a few questions, though - would I use 'a traves de' or 'por'? And I know broken glass is either 'vidrios rotos' or 'cristales rotos' - is there a difference there? I want to be able to translate it like a native Spanish speaker would say it - preferably Latin American / Mexican Spanish.

¡Gracias!

I would say, based on the sentence, "a través" seems to be the better translation... I would say:

"A través del vidrio roto y la luz de la mañana."

Although a native speaker or more advanced learner may be able to do better... (smile)

A través del cristal roto (o de la ventana rota) y la luz de la mañana.
