The Translation Game
En este juego muy sencillo cada jugador tendrá la oportunidad de traducir de un idioma al otro, dependiendo de cuándo llegue a jugar. Pero les animo a ustedes que no hagan una traducción exactamente directa, sino que piensen en la idea principal para traducirla en una manera que comunica el sentido general. En su respuesta, traduzca la frase escrito por el jugador anterior y escriba una suya en el otro idioma para la siguiente persona.
In this very simple game each player will have the opportunity to translate from one language to the other, depending on when they come in. But I encourage you all not to make an exactly direct translation, but instead think about the main idea to translate it in a way that communicates the general meaning. In your answer, translate the sentence written by the player before you and write one of your own in the other language for the next person.
Example:
Ojalá no fuéramos ricos porque así no llegamos a apreciar mucho los placeres pequeños de la vida. ==> It's too bad we have to be rich since life's simple pleasures don't affect us so much.

Hey thanks for posting this. I'm doing a semester of translation at uni and I'm absolutely loving it!
When a family faces a crisis such as unemployment, worry and fear for the future can be overwhelming.
