In your example, you have to write ''Necesito facturar a mi equipaje''.Me,in your example, isn't direct object but can be indirect object. The direct object----noun is acompanied by the preposition a and, usually, the unstressed forms of the personal prounoun (le,la,los, las). The accusative forms only.Sometimes the direct object isn't acompanied by the preposition a (when there are no confusions):
Veo a mi hermano / Lo veo a mi hermano = I see my brother
Como una manzana = I eat an apple
En tu ejemplo, tienes que escribir ''Necesito facturar a mi equipaje'' Me, en tu ejemplo, no es complemento directo, sino puede ser complemento indirecto..El complemento directo---sustantivo es acompañado por la preposición a y, usualmente, la formas atonas del pronombre personal (le,la,los, las).Solo las formas acusativas.A veces el complemento directo---sustantivo no es acompañado por la preposición a (cuando no hay confisiónes):
. Veo a mi hermano / Lo veo a mi hermano = I see my brother
Como una manzana = I eat an apple
Perhaps this lesson will help - Direct and Indirect Object Prounouns, an introduction

Direct objects are the part of the sentence that is receiving the action. For example, in English if you say "I gave the book to him," then the book would be the direct object, because it is the thing being given.
Depending on who or what is receiving the action, the direct object pronouns are:
Me
Te
lo/la
Nos
Os
los/las
In your sentence, "equipaje" is a masculine, singular noun. Therefore, your direct object pronoun would be "lo" and you would place "lo" before the conjugated verb.
