Another Good Way to Practice Listening in Spanish - NotesinSpanish
Dear Community:
Several months back, I posted a recommendation for a soap-opera designed for those at beginning/intermediate levels to practice listening called Destinos. It helped my ability to follow faster modes of Spanish greatly.
Now I want to recommend another site, brought to my attention by broca23, namely NotesinSpanish which is a free resource (with the option of buying the 'worksheets') featuring podcasts between a native English speaker and his wife who was born in Spain.
One of its fine features is that it has three levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced, so that all can benefit. While the beginner was too slow for me from a listening point of view, I learned all kinds of interesting and useful phrases like:
Me estás tomando el pelo - your pulling my leg! (teasing me)
¡Que cara tienes! - [Look at you!]...you cheeky bastard! along with lots of other useful phrases. (my favorite - Mi jefe es muy especial - my boss is a real pain in the ass).
For those interested in practicing listening skills, these are two solid resources.
And if you want to share other resources that you've benefitted from, please post here! (Others that I've been told about include: news in slow spanish (great resource that I am only beginning to get my teeth into, mi vida loca (best for absolute beginners), extra en español, Lomas TV (inspired format that I have to dig into more), Veinte Mundos, and Spanish Proficiency Exercises) are there others?

¡Buen provecho!
Great!
Another podcast that I liked was "Newsinslowspanish."
And now, Notes in Spanish "Gold" is also free.
This is the BBC Learn Spanish site

Thanks for getting these posts started. I think there are others in older threads where I got this link:
Coffee break Spanish, itunes. It had 70 podcasts you could download and then get the worksheets.
Great post, thanks.
