Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does Spanishdict teach Spanish as spoken in Spain or Latin American Spanish?

There are no stupid questions. We are all learning from each other and asking questions is a great way to learn. - katydew, Sep 7, 2012
This has been asked by many other learners, too, so you can take a look at the other answers by typing in "types of spanish" in the white search box under "ask a question". You'll get all the input you need. - katydew, Sep 7, 2012

I would say the videos lean toward Spanish from Spain and you will learn all the verb and subject forms on the videos, whether you ever use vosotros or not.

I only need Central and South American Spanish but it was helpful to learn all the forms, since some of the older literary works and the Bible often use the vosotros forms.

As far as the forum, there are people from all over the world learning here in both English and Spanish. It's been very helpful to me to learn the vocabulary used in different countries that are Spanish speaking. There are different Spanish accents and idioms.

What do you want to learn?

It's probably not either. This site is a global learning opportunity. If you take the time to look around, there are many, many Questions and Answers that reference certain idioms being used in a certain country. Spanish is Spanish, and you'll see vocabulary and idiom differences all over the world. As for grammar, correct is correct. Perhaps some things aren't used in certain areas. For instance, all high school textbooks use formal Spain Spanish. The vosotros form is used in the textbooks due to this. Vosotros forms are not used much in other parts of the world, and I just read that the vosotros form is being used less and less by the younger generations even in Spain. Does this help at all? If you are looking toward this forum to augment your high school Spanish education, or any level of Spanish education, it's a great site!
